Bringing the world’s fastest growing sport to the heart of the Lune Valley
Our Aims.
The longterm health benefits of exercising in rural green spaces has long been established. Bringing Padel to the Lune Valley not only fulfills this criterea but also supports the local economy. This is something that has been achieved by Box Tree Farm for over 15 years now.
Having established a small, private lodge site from the year 2020 we now want to provide ‘Padel holidays’ where groups of people can stay and play by renting one of our lodges that accommodate 10 guests with access to our three onsite courts within walking distance

What is Padel?
Played by four players, Padel is a hybrid of both tennis and squash. It’s new, vibrant, great for all ages, appealing to both novice and experienced players. It has been proven that it has great health, wellbeing and fitness benefits. Padel, played by family and friends is fantastic for mind body and soul
The Court
The courts are 20m x 10m with 4 metre high toughened glass and mesh sides. The aim is to get the ball over a central net, similar to tennis. However, due to the nature of the court, you can play the ball off the glassed areas, similar to squash.
The Aim of the Game
Scoring is very much like tennis played in increments of 15 points for every rally won and is usually played over 5 sets. But Padel has its own specific rules, before serving, the ball must be bounced once. You also cannot volley the ball into the perimeter glass wall. To score a point your opponent must fail to return the ball after it has hit the ground once.
